These mitts are for my friend frances, part of her birthday gift. i'm thinking of lining them with micro fleece for a bit more warmth.

apartment deemed perfect

tonight, when i got my self all ready for bed and finished brushing my teeth and shut off the light in my room i noticed the most perfect thing. my room has a window that gets moonlight.. a perfect moonlight window impression that drapes across my bed. not so high that it blinds me but close enough that i can shuffle down and see the moon if I want.
it was like in a movie, but better than that because it was real.

what I do

many people ask what I do.
I tend to fudge around and try to explain everything. Truthfully I am part of a great group at Toronto General Hospital called Peri-operative Interactive Education (PIE). I work with two other amazing medical illustrators and have a great boss who lets us take our projects in interesting directions. But enough of me fudging around... you can find about all of this at our new website!

I've been wanting to outfit my new place with art work. These two posters jumped out at me. maybe because they are directed at the viewer. They are both from companies in the states-- I don't know if the post family (stay up) ships to Canada but 20x200 (you're impossible) doesn't yet - maybe that's a good thing.

I'm pretty happy with how they turned out.
The top one is the cable hat I've been working on for about a year (ready just in time for fall) and the bottom is a super warm snail hat i started when mary was up visiting.. It was super fast!
